How can I install a Let’s Encrypt certificate?

Inhalt

You can have the free Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate installed on our hosting servers. If you have or want your own certificate, please see this FAQ post .

Below, depending on the control panel you’re using, you’ll find a video guide that explains how to install the Let’s Encrypt certificate.

Please note that your domain must already point to our server via a DNS record for the installation to be successful.

Confixx

  1. Log in to your Confixx Controlpanel
  2. Click on “Let’s Encrypt” in the tools bar / Alternatively, you can install the SSL certificate via “Settings” > “Domains”
  3. Click on the corresponding lock symbol
  4. Select “Use Let’s Encrpyt” for the certificate type and enter your e-mail address.
We recommend activating automatic forwarding to the encrypted page.

The creation will now be carried out and may take a few minutes. The certificate is renewed automatically.

Plesk

  1. Log in to your Plesk Controlpanel
  2. You can find your installed domains in the overview. Click on the “SSL/TLS certificates” icon for the relevant domain
  3. The free SSL certificate “Let’s Engrypt” is offered here
  4. Select Install and enter your e-mail address.
  5. Activate Protect domain name and Protect www subdomain for the domain and all selected aliases.
If you use e-mails via the domain incl. Webmail, the other two options can also be activated.
  6. Then click on “Use free of charge”

The creation will now be carried out and may take a few minutes. The certificate is renewed automatically.
