How can I deactivate DNSSEC?

In this article, we explain how to deactivate DNSSEC.

For more information on what DNSSEC is and its benefits, see our blog post .

  1. Log in to your myhosttech customer center, go to Domains > Domaincenter
  2. Click on “Details” for the corresponding domain
  3. Select “DNSSEC settings”
  4. Please click on the green button to turn it off and save the change
  5. Now please select “DNS Records” for the domain
  6. click on the green button for DNSSEC above to switch it off
  7. Memory the changes.

Please note that it may take a few hours for this customization to become active.

Note:
The registration authority has been imposing a penalty fee on unprotected .ch domains since 2022.
An extra fee of € 4.00 would therefore be charged on the next domain invoice.

Alternatively, you can always connect your domain to your external host via DNS pointing. You can find out how to customize your DNS records here.
