How can I create a backup?

You can create or import a backup in various ways:

  • Backup via the customer center (chargeable + automatically created)
  • Backup in the control panel
  • Backup via the WordPress Toolkit (only possible for WordPress sites)

Backup im myhosttech Kundencenter

If you do not have your own backup, you can request a paid backup in the myhosttech customer center. We create emergency backups in case you do not have your own backup. To import a backup, follow these steps:

  1. Log in
    Log in to the myhosttech customer center.
  2. Select server center
    Click on “Server center” on the left and then on “Server center” again.
  3. Open backup settings
    Select “Settings” for your hosting and then “Backup”.
  4. Specify backup details
    Here you can select the domain, the date and the desired content to be imported. Please note that this costs €29.00.
Log in to the Customer Center, click on Server Center, Server Center on the left. Select Settings for your hosting and then switch to Backup. Now you can choose the backup you want. Please note: subject to a charge!

Backup im Plesk Controlpanel

You can create a backup yourself in the Plesk Controlpanel. This is how it works:

  1. Log in to the customer center
    Log in to the myhosttech customer center, click on “Servercenter” and then again on “Servercenter”.
  2. Open Plesk Controlpanel
    Select “Settings” for your hosting and then “Login Controlpanel”.
  3. Create a backup
    In Plesk, go to “Dashboard” and then to “Backup and restore”. You can create a backup here.

Backup mit dem WordPress Toolkit

If you have installed WordPress with the WP Toolkit, you can create a backup specifically for WordPress:

  1. Create a WordPress backup
    Go to “WordPress” in the Plesk Control Panel on the left, then click on “Backup/Restore” and create a backup by clicking on “Create backup”.
In Plesk, select WordPress on the left and then Backup and restore.
  1. Restore a backup
    To restore a backup, click on the restore icon for the corresponding backup.
Select Create backup or Import.
